CHILDRENS ROOM

CHILDREN'S ROOM LAMPS

Bedrooms for small and older children require a well-thought-out lighting concept. When choosing children's room lamps, safety and quality are particularly important. Children's room lights should create an atmosphere in the room that meets the requirements of the child.

In our product range we offer a large selection of table lamps, ceiling lamps, night lights as well as decorative lights for the children's room, with great designs for girls and boys, for the little ones and the big ones.

WHAT SHOULD YOU LOOK FOR WHEN CHOOSING CHILDREN'S ROOM LAMPS?

DESIGN

The first thing that catches the eye when it comes to children's lamps is, of course, the design. It has to be nice and colourful, or simply depict a theme such as football. Designs with stars or animals are also very popular. Your child will certainly express his or her wishes when he or she is old enough.

SAFETY

Lamps and lights for the children's room must meet the highest safety requirements. The material must be resistant to breakage. Bulbs should be used that generate as little heat as possible. LEDs are particularly suitable for this. Compared to conventional light bulbs, these don't get nearly as hot. For example, while a halogen lamp can reach a temperature of more than 200 degrees Celsius, LEDs are usually only 50 to 70 degrees Celsius. In addition, LED light offers various other advantages. For example, it is available in different colour temperatures. Many LED lights also have a dimmer function.

QUALITY

Quality and safety in lamps and lights go hand in hand. High-quality workmanship and the use of robust materials ensure that the children's room lamp lasts a long time and gives pleasure even in harsh conditions. However, quality also refers to the design of the lamp. It should be beautiful to look at and please the child.

We pay particular attention to the quality of the products in the children's room lamps in our range and only offer high-quality items.

LIGHT INTENSITY AND LIGHT COLOUR

Children's rooms are multifunctional spaces. This is where they sleep, play and work - for example, when doing their homework. All of this requires the right lighting. For example, while subdued and warm light is more suitable for the resting phase before sleeping, the child needs lighting for work that promotes concentration and supports reading and writing.

The basic lighting of the children's room can be created very well with a ceiling lamp or a hanging lamp. The amount of light required depends on the size of the room and the colour of the furnishings (furniture, floor, walls). The darker the interior, the more light is needed. 140 to 150 lumens per square meter are recommended. For a children's room of 15 square meters, this is 2,100 to 2,250 lumens. Warm white light of 2,700 to 3,000 Kelvin is perceived as particularly pleasant.

For working at a desk, a point light source such as a table or desk lamp is well suited. It should emit neutral white light (3,000 to 5,000 Kelvin). The recommended light intensity is between 350 and 500 lumens. This allows them to concentrate on their work without straining the eyes.

COMBINATION OF CHILDREN'S ROOM LAMPS

The ideal lighting concept for the children's room consists of several lamps that fulfil different functions - for basic lighting, for playing, for reading and at night. There are no limits to the imagination when it comes to compilation. It is best to give your child the opportunity to have a say in the selection. If you take into account the selection criteria mentioned above, you can be sure to choose the right children's room lamps.
