WHICH WALL LIGHTS WOULD YOU LIKE?
This is certainly the most difficult question, because the answer depends on your personal taste. Wall lights are available in classic or modern designs and made of different materials such as wood, glass, or metal. Which wall lights suit you best is also a question of the existing furnishings. You can also choose a mix of styles and, for example, combine modern furniture with classic lighting.
Keep in mind that wall lights are not only a source of light, but also a decorative element that contributes significantly to the character of your rooms. For example, you can use wall lights to bring dark corners and walls to life and integrate them into a room. This is advantageous in apartments and houses with many nooks and crannies or even when the distribution of light in the room is limited by large furniture.
Wall lights are available with a single or double light cone. Depending on the situation, the lamp only shines in one or two directions. Straight wall lights with double light cones downwards and upwards set particularly elegant lighting accents.
HOW MANY WALL LIGHTS PER ROOM?

Per square meter of room, LEDs are expected to require about 4 watts. For a room of 20 square meters, this would be 80 watts distributed over the various lights in the room. This applies to a room height of 2.50 metres. For rooms with higher ceilings, a little more power is required. If there are additional lights in the room, such as ceiling lights or floor lamps, these must be considered accordingly.
The type of room also affects the number of lights needed. This is not primarily about the illuminance, because this can be achieved either by choosing the appropriate light sources or simply by dimming. It's more about the different areas of use in the room. For example, in the bedroom, in addition to the bed, there may also be a dressing area, which requires separate lighting. This also applies to the living room with couch, dining and reading area.
The floor plan of the rooms and the furnishings have a similar effect. If there are many nooks and crannies, this can speak in favor of installing additional wall lights.
Finally, the number and distribution of wall lights also depends on the power connections available. It is not always possible to connect a wall light exactly at the desired location. An alternative can be wall lights with a plug for the socket. They also have the advantage of being particularly easy to install.
HOW HIGH SHOULD WALL LIGHTS BE PLACED?
This is certainly one of the most important questions when it comes to wall lights. The correct installation height ensures that the wall lights do not dazzle. Here, the simple rule is: wall lamps should be mounted at eye level. This is based on the upper edge of the wall light. If several people of different sizes live in a household, the average eye level is chosen. With two people of 1.60 m and 1.80 m, this would result in an installation height of 1.70 m.
A test run is recommended: before the wall light is permanently installed, it should first be placed at the planned height and switched on. This way, everyone can quickly see whether or not the light is pleasant at this height.
SOFT LIGHT SOURCES: USING UPLIGHTS AND DOWNLIGHTS CORRECTLY
You can determine individually whether the light beam should be directed upwards or downwards. So-called uplights and downlights even form a combination of both variants. This places almost no limits on their possible applications. Whether in the entrance area, in the living room or even outdoors - the indirect, gently flowing light of wall lamps, which does not cast sharp shadows, looks wonderfully cosy.
Tip: Lamps that emit light towards the wall can help make rooms look larger. Even in low rooms, to which you want to give more height visually, it is recommended to install the wall lamp on the upper wall area. If you direct the light there, it visually stretches the room and makes it appear brighter and more airy. And they never get in the way, which is another advantage, especially in small rooms!
